Job Description

 

The Accounts Manager will perform oversee and manage the company’s balance sheet as well as contribute to the development of existing and new businesses. The role involves the processing and management of highly sensitive and confidential information and the highest level of professionalism is required. This position requires strong accounting and statistical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination and management experience. The ideal candidate is familiar with accounting software and is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Maintain firm control of income, cash flow and expenditure
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
  • Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislations that affect the company
  • Prepare monthly payroll, calculate and remit personal income tax to appropriate authority
  • Calculate, deduct value added taxes from client invoices and same to appropriate authority
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
  • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
  • Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
  • Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or business management
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards
